Since August 1999, when the operation of ATHEX-Derivatives Market started, derivative products continuously win ground as investment tools among other financial products. They’ve been used for handling complex financial risks created at the international financial environment and offer alternative investment choices to the investors, under different market conditions. The understanding and knowledge of derivatives is very important for professionals and for private investors who wish to be involved in the organized derivatives market.
ATHEX-Derivatives Market Training Unit offers training to company personnel or to individuals who wish to be involved in trading or clearing or assume investment decision making and other consulting activities.
ATHEX-Derivatives Market Training Unit offers training to company personnel or to individuals who wish to be involved in trading or clearing or assume investment decision making and other consulting activities.
The structured training procedure consists of a series of courses and educational materials. After passing appropriate examinations it offers the possibility to obtain one or more of the following certificates issued by ATHEX-Derivatives Market.
1. Certificate of Market Maker/Trader
2. Certificate of Clearer/Back Office Executive
3. Certificate of Knowledge
4. Certificate of Client Adviser
Besides preparatory seminars for obtaining the above certificates the Training Unit organizes specialized seminars addressed to company personnel throughout money and capital markets. The purpose of these seminars is to provide opportunities for obtaining knowledge along path of continuous training in the area of derivatives products.
The four specialized seminars that will be offered this semester are the following:
1. Seminar in Risk Management
2. Seminar in Volatility Trading
3. Seminar in Sales promotion of derivatives
4. Seminar in Mathematics for derivatives
5. Technical Analysis
I. Technical Analysis
II. Advanced Techniques Metastock
III. Candlesticks
IV. Bollinger Bands
In addition, two shorterm seminars are offered
1. Derivative products workshop
2. Rules and regulations of the Greek derivatives market

After passing the exams, the executives of the capital market will be awarded with the following certifications : |

|
This certificate is required for the executives of member-companies of ADEX and ADECH for trading derivatives.

This certificate is required for executives of member-companies of ADEX and ADECH for clearing, settlement and risk management.

|
Useful, among others, for institutional investors and pension funds.

Useful for member-companies of ADEX and ADECH and other organizations.
